Today my thoughts have beed focused on death

My husband’s aunt is dying of stomach cancer. The cancer has caused her to not be able to swallow. She can only sip water now. As her family rallies around her to say their good-byes and to try to support her death I am watching the process, again.

Death is a part of life and we all will go through this. Some years ago I took care of my mother in law while she died of cancer. I was the primary care giver and the experience was extremely emotional. Today’s events have brought back a lot of the feelings from my past experience. I guess this is the reason for this post. I felt the need to talk about the fear of death. (more…)
